Job Title: Electrical Apprentice
Job Description
Our Electrical Apprentice works under general supervision and direction from our Journeyman Electrician. We are looking for someone who is interested in training under a Journeyman, and is interested in getting their Journeyman Electrician license and working in Electrical Maintenance for the long term.
Responsibilities
Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
Pull and terminate wire.
Install electrical equipment.
Assist Journeyman with installing and troubleshooting lighting, panels, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, and inverters.
Trace out short circuits in wiring using a test meter.
Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation, and tighten connections using hand tools.
Clean work area.
Required Skills
Experience with conduit, wiring, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work under supervision of a licensed electrician.
Familiarity with chillers, boilers, and Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a nice to have.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Job duties may require standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, and use of hands, fingers, and arms to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs.
Schedule
The work shift is Tuesday to Saturday from 2pm to 10:30pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
