This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom serving kindergarten and first-grade students. The position is full-time, offering a consistent 33.35-hour workweek within an elementary school setting. The classroom includes approximately 8 students initially, with the possibility of increasing by one or two students as the year progresses. Support is provided through a paraprofessional and a 1:1 aide, allowing for a collaborative teaching environment focused on individualized student needs.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. You will work closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families to support student growth and academic success throughout the school year (CSY contract).
