Duration: 11 Months w2 contract Shift Schedule: (Flexible with hours) Rotating 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends, they will NOT be working 7 days a week. Usually, one week is 36 hrs (3 days @ 12 hrs per day), the following week could then be 48 hrs (4 days @ 12 hrs per day); and not all days in a row. Summary: This location is near Bidwell Training Center and Butler Community College. Both institutions offer a Chemical Lab Training Program. Key Responsibilities: Using a variety of testing equipment including: GCs, HPLC, FTIR, Spectrophotometers, Viscometers, Ovens, balances, pH meters, Microscopy, LIMS & SAP data systems. Conducting analytical testing on emulsion polymerization products and plant waste water in support of In-Process and Finished Goods 24/7 ISO 9001 manufacturing operations. Evaluating data versus internal and external specifications Evaluating incoming Raw Materials Performing bacteria testing Interacting with the Supply Chain and Operations departments at the Monaca site to expedite shipments to customers utilizing SAP Contributing and adhering to Safety, Environmental, Quality and EEO/AA standards of the Corporation, Division and Site Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor This position does not offer relocation benefits Qualifications: Associates degree in Biology or Chemistry or 2-year Technical degree in Analytical Testing with a minimum 6+ months of industrial experience in an QA/QC or R&D or Analytical or Environmental laboratory environment OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 3+ years of relevant industrial lab experience in either a QA/QC or R&D or Analytical or Environmental Laboratory required. Ability to operate various computer-controlled instruments, in addition to a familiarity with personal computers Experience with Microsoft Office products; ie., Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
