Major Gifts Officer

Waynesburg University is currently seeking applicants for a Major Gifts Officer. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field desired, 2+ years of progressively successful experience in non-profit fundraising, higher education, or sales required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and strong organizational skills required. Knowledge of fundraising information sources, techniques and strategies. Experience with proposal writing, prospect research techniques and the ability to cultivate non-alumni partnerships and/or philanthropic support. Valid Driver’s license required. This position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donor prospects capable of making major gifts ($20,000+) to the University. This position will build strategic relationships with major gift prospects through personal visits and correspondence. Candidates must be committed both personally and professionally to the mission and purpose of Christian Higher Education.
