As a Security Officer - Armed Patrols Part-Time in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for a government-related location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned areas, maintaining a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, so you will be expected to carry and manage authorized equipment while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter, remaining alert to any unusual activities or situations.
• Help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional conduct.
• Monitor and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities encountered during patrols.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or public authorities as necessary to address incidents or concerns.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions as appropriate while maintaining access control protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Possess a valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
