As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol in Mount Vernon, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned property, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. You will be a vital point of contact and support, utilizing strong communication skills to address inquiries and respond to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
• Observe and report any irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and/or emergency response teams during incidents as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and/or incidents as directed by site-specific requirements.
• Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures related to the chemical and petrochemical environment, including any required emergency protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
