Salary: $55,000 Base Salary
Job Title: Play Therapist/Outpatient Therapist
Special Notes : This position has the potential to operate on a hybrid schedule with some onsite and some remote days/times depending on the needs of clients and the agency. Hope Center for Children will complete insurance paneling submissions and update. This position has no direct billing responsibilities. This position is full-time, salaried, working an average of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications: Masters Degree in social work, counseling or related field with clinical licensure active in South Carolina.
LPC, LMFT, or LISW-CP is required for this position. Experience working with child victims of trauma/child welfare field for a minimum of two years preferred. Experience with play therapy and/or working with children ages 5-18 required.
Principle Responsibilities : The Therapist is responsible for delivering quality therapy, managing and minimizing risks by maintaining accurate documentation, and building internal and external partnerships.
Reports t o: Director of Clinical Support Services
Scope : This full time, salaried (W2) position provides therapy within the Clinical Support Services arm of Hope Center for Children (HCFC), ensuring that trauma informed therapy services are more readily available to children and families in high stress, high risk situations and children and caregivers in foster or kinship care now or in the past. The therapist ensures compliance with Medicaid, COA, and other applicable documentation standards.

Necessary characteristics : The successful therapist is committed to positive changes in children and is able to develop strong relationships; takes the therapeutic relationship and trauma needs of the client seriously; has strong supervisory and administrative skills. The ability and drive to move throughout the day in and out of a variety of clinical and administrative skills is a must. A desire for professional growth is necessary as evidenced by accepting and responding appropriately to constructive feedback. Strong customer service, team leadership and critical thinking skills are essential. It is important that the therapist is highly organized and demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
